grip sticking

been using my bike for work the last few weeks and notice that the throttle was sticking but not all the time . Then i realised that its only when the heated grips where on
is this a common thing or am i special like my mum allways says

Absolutely common, the plastic grip expands in length. There is a mod you can do yourself. Remove the end weight and place a thin washer between it and the handle bar stem.

It packs the end weight away slightly and allows just enough room for the grip to expand without rubbing.

Just make sure the washer is no wider than the width of the handle bar stem, about 0.5mm thick should do it.
