good grief no ..... all that stopped many years ago. I quite liked the frayed knot bit ..............
New tyres fitted and passed its MOT with a clean sheet as expected
It really is a nice bike to ride
New clutch switch fitted , thanks to @theoneandonly for giving me the Aprilia part number as I managed to get a genuine OEM switch off them for £46 delivered

Lovely. I would like to have seen them put a 2V 1200 motor in the Griso.
I've just realised, that was one of my old bikes.
I don't think the electrical bodge was mine. It will most certainly have had the swing arm bearings replaced.
I didn't remember the Reg no but did remember painting the valve covers black. Checked back through my insurance details and there it was.

My memory is really becoming appallingly poor. I have absolutely no recollection of our conversation. I can't even remember who I sold it to.

Great looking bike....and was going to mention the hideously large exhaust as another tke mentioned...but you beat me to it with the last 2 pics.

Proper bike that. Lovely
I did just under 100 miles round County Durham and Northumberland yesterday and the bike is a pleasure to ride . Looking forward to getting the Mistral exhaust and seeing how it looks / sounds with that fitted
Cleaning the bike and coating it in ACF50 ready for winter storage I noticed a slight oil weep from the final drive output seal
It’s a 85 x 110 x 8 BASL seal
Fowlers want nearly £100 for the genuine Guzzi one
Gutsibits price is £45
I can get a double lip high pressure rubber seal from Simply Bearings for £20
Any recommendations either positive or negative from experience of using any of the above 3 options ?

I've used Simply bearings for oddball stuff with no problems.

It’s an exhaust pipe. It’s not there to look pretty. It’s there to do a job. I couldn’t tell you what the exhaust pipe looks like on any of my bikes or cars or even the Motorhome. As long as it does its job and isn’t noisy then all is good.
