GS 1100 heated grips

Hi All,

I'm thinking of fitting heated grips to my 1998 1100 GS. Does anybody know the best way to wire them in? I was wondering if there will be an empty electrical socket or something under the tank, I had a quick look but could not see anything.

Any help appreciated,

Buy the kit from Motobins. Comes with switch & harness - plug in and go

Did mine recently

on a 99 1100gs
Motorworks BMW kit all is in there inc instructions of a sort

Just check your handlebars bars on the bike underside just outboard of the clamps to see if you have the wiring slots

Plugs are already in situ behind the headlight for the operating switch cable tied out of the way
Power plug is under the tank amongst all the electrics on the back spine of the front frame little white job with 2 wires attached

All you will need is a 4amp fuse for slot 7 in the fuse box

Oh and thin wire and patience of a saint to guide the wiring through each handlebar from the grips

It took me a short while, but I quickly figured that threading some string from the opposite direction to pull the wire back through, was easier...
