GS 1150 2001 mint

Can anyone give me an idea what a 2001 GS 1150 blue in mint condition is worth ???

I've been offered one but don't know the true value of them.

Depends......on mileage, service history, farkles added (luggage, lights etc).

I'd say somewhere betwen £2750 (on the cheeky side) and £3500 if the bike has sufficient extras to not need much future expenditure.

I disagree with Peter, in the nicest way. MINT condition with lowish mileage and no corrosion, service history. With panniers and extras. £4000-£4300

+1 with Pete, I have a 2003, from new 33k also mint - ish in my opinion, with panniers and think 3.5 to £3750 tops..

i happen to have an 02 blue and white mint gs with 16k ..so i have been watching prices for a while now....and without bias i would say a winter price should be between 3700 and 4100..and in summer a MORE ...low mileage ones are becoming rare, i know i searched long and hard for this one

FWIW, I think you are cock on...........

We all like a pretty face, and a nice shiney thing in July MIGHT fetch a bit more, but I reckon mint, low mileage, £3500 is utter tops for a 14 year old BMW (would be for me anyway.... )

I think 3700 is a max and in the summer... with some extras. I was busy looking for most of April this year to replace my stolen GS. Nearly bought a blue and white version, twin spark, full Luggage and mint. That was after a LOT of searching. That was 3500... Do you know what was actually paid in the things you were watching?

But in the end it's only to do with what someone will pay. In the meantime were all just talking rubbish

Most "Mint" bikes are just average to good, with a good valet session behind them.

How Minty the mintness is, is important, if it's going to be claimed as such

Anyway, text the owner yesterday and here is his reply, no pics yet but working on it, I saw it on Friday while I was in the North East but had to hit the road to go South Monday morning, I expressed an interest and the owner rang me on Tuesday:

" I bought the bike in 2011. I can safely describe the bike as good condition for it's age.

Accelerator module could mean a PIA is waiting to be found if you chose to remove it... But price sounds more like it

Mine is mint and by that I mean all original and no corrosion, 19000 miles. I bought it last month, it was advertised first at £3900 but I was able to haggle a bit on that.
Don't let your judgement be blurred by loads of bling on in, unless you're going to buy that bling yourself it doesn't make a huge difference to the value, focus on the condition of the bike underneath the bling.
A mint R1150GS with no corrosion is a rare thing now, this site will sell one for £3600 to nearly £5k for a truly perfect one - look back through the recent ads to confirm.
There's no shortage of 1150GS in £2500 to £3000 condition which will have stacks of life left in them.
If you want mint, you'll need to pay up - they sell.
