I can't believe that people knowingly buy fakes. Does it not tug at any part of your moral fibre that they are stealing somebody else's hard work and property. You might as well be keeping lookout for somebody burgling a neighbours house.
The risks that people take to establish a small business are huge. They deserve our support - especially British / European companies. Yes I know this is a South African company. But any way that we can slow down the Chinese takeover of the world is worthwhile.
It really doesn't sit well with me. If you cannot afford to buy the genuine product then don't bother. Why have a 10K bike and get all tight about an extra 60 quid? Buying obvious fakes like this is theft in my book.

has anyone got one of the chinese fakes , and does it work the same ? , and is there any differences ....
Any feedback on the originals unit would also be great.. i am thinking about buying one of these also

I didn't know they were fake, its a co.uk website but became a bit suspicious as there contact details are only by email, and thats why I asked.
Certainly don't want a fake or any problems with it, would rather pay the extra, but had it been genuine obviously its a free tank of fuel.
Thanks for the advice, I will get mine from Ireland.

Do you seriously think that all of the stuff you buy, even from Genuine big named brands, is not full of cheaper PCBs, mechanisms and internals mass produced in China or Korea or somewhere, then packaged up and sold on?
Most of the kit you'll buy these days has parts, or are all made in China etc.....then they're re-labelled and sold on a a big mark-up.
Just as a matter of interest, why do people assume that the slanty eyed pirates , if they are capable of ripping off a design and selling it cheaper, aren't also capable of getting hold of a copy of the latest software update and making it available on their own website?
