Got ADV tank off the fleaBay.
Already proved the typical 1150s poor build quality - rusting from the bottom
Got it sorted with lot of my hand work invested on working with silly shaped surfaces, primed and repainted it.
Now the question. I thought the tank is the same as 1100/1150 stock tank, but it turns out the ADV tank has a (damned) crosspipe, with two 6mm 90-degree turning metal pipes coming off from each tank lobe to be connected with a flexible pipe. How is the best way to disconnect it, w/o pissing fuel everywhere on removing/installing the tank?
Use a separate Quick-Disconnect for the crosspipe? (£££?) Anything else?
