Decided to buy a GS. It will be used for weekends away, evenings in summer and perhaps a two week tour (no commuting). I would like a relatively new bike. Can anyone advise:
1. I have noticed Park Lane BMW have yellow GS with ABS heated grips etc, pre registered but never on the road for £8.5K. Is this a good deal - several posts refer to having obtained good deals but don't indicate a value.
2. Is the Adventure considered so much better that it would be better to buy a second hand one with say 10K miles. I enjoy riding both bikes but the Adventure does feel a smoother ride and this type of question is largely subjective.
3. One of the mags has a comprison between the Varadero, V-strom, Aprilia and GS. Most is positive except they state the best GS is the single spark variant and it performs better than the new twin spark motors. Is this fact or journalistic gobblygook? If there is truth in the statement would I be better buying a single spark model and spending the difference on a Remus silencer and Y piece to further assist breathing.
Many thanks for your help.
