GS dohc high pitched whistle

Hi all..... just wondered if anyone has experienced a high pitched whistle from the front of the engine audible especially when cold.... seems to quieten somewhat when machine is fully warm.... Its a 2011 GS dohc, done 23K now and I'm pretty sure it was not like that when I bought it 3 weeks ago at 20K otherwise I would have questioned it.. Any thoughts..?? it just pee's me off a little each time I fire up from cold and its defo not getting any better.... almost feels like some kind of fan belt tho I have been told by a certified engineer its the primary gears...?? bought it under warranty etc.... many thanks, Joolsy

Well, the poly-V belt at thefront of the engine would be my first port of call...
