Right from what I understand the only differences are the shocks?
Are the fork stanchoins longer as well on the GSA?
Is anything else affected putting GSA stuff on a GS?

Front end identical, rear end possible longer drive shaft by 10mm to get more engagement...I run with a stock GS drive shaft:D

Do you actually want to make your GS taller? If the ride height is ok at the moment you could just upgrade the existing shocks to Ohlins or WP, put the GSA bits on and you will have a GSA with a sensible ride height for the sub 6ft rider.

I know about this because I went through the process of lowering a GSA.

I did mine as I was ripping off the bashplate every second week, the GSA Suspension and a couple of other mods fixed that, its about an annual event but I ride less currently:augie

I like the idea of more ground clearance (but am unsure my old man will be able to touch the ground)...

Welshman - What are the other mods?

Anyone any idea about the fork stanchoins?

Is the drive shaft from a GSA longer then?

Fork stanchions are the same. Telever stanchions are just for pointing the wheel in the right direction, not used for suspension.

Don't bother changing the drive shaft, the shafts are the same length, the inner splines are a couple mm's longer. It makes no difference, i've replaced ADV shafts with standard shafts and vice versa due to having to use what was available second hand without any problems.

As said, side stand and main stand are longer on the adv.
