Gs in the snow-better than my K100rs?

Using the bike everyday 10 miles each way, my K100rs is a bit unsteady(or is it me) when slippery and I dont like the snow stuff.

I tried the train but missed the last one home so it was a £28.40 cab ride home.

and as I`m only 5ft8 ish would a 1100gs cope better? always wanted one-but i said that about the africa twin i used to have-.

Always better. Both of my bikes are parked in a communal garage which has a an upward incline if riding out. Anyway, snow and ice come along, cars are sliding around at the top and one bloke can't even drive up the ramp, (if he took a small run-up then he might've fared better) and I ride straight past all of them with my heated grips/jacket on with the biggest grin since Ronald Mcdonald!! It maybe an 1150 but am pretty sure an 1100 would be just as good!!! Should add that I had Metzelers semi knobbly Tourances recently fitted and they are so much better than the "road biased" Bridgestone 020s before and that's including in the wet!!

I rode my 1100GS all last winter to work.
My back road to the main road was icy and slushy. The 1100 coped well.

I only dropped it on the way to work ,when the back roads were that icy , (cars were even sliding around) the front end went away from me and down i went.

Saying that id recommend a smaller enduro, for work , lighter and ye can get through the snow easier with more confidence...

If you drop the lil bike , you wont get a hernia picking it up.

Save up through summer , get a cheap enduro , strip it down ready for winter .
Itll save you money in the long run , when you dont have to ride the larger bike in winter conditions

get an airhead much better for snow as they weigh less the weight is lower and theyre not as tall. Also theyre a proper motorbike

Ugg's right A small XT 350 or an old XL250 or the like cheap as chips to buy

Much easier and safe to use!!!
