GS PD re-build progress.

Look this is just not on - It's an Airhead, albeit a paralever

You cannot have a BMW without a paint code and a scheme number, please stick to the BMW specifications.

Still don't like the colour scheme - why didn't you pick 692 or 673 - my personal favourites

Paralevers - we really do need to separate them from proper Airhead stuff if you are going to carry on like this

re-build not going to plan.

I have to confess, colours are not my idea....
Unfortunately the guys that painted my GS-PD did not get the job right after 7 weeks of trying, So I found a guy who specializes in bike painting and he's half the price.. He's took the paint right back to the plastic and started a fresh. I've seen so of his finish work and its fantastic. Before any one asks the question, "I didn't pay the fist guys a penny.:thumb

Good that you are happy with the finish - nothing worse than to spend a whole lot of dosh and not be completely happy especially if you are doing your own restoration - but you will still find a few faults - that's the nature of the game.

I have never been 100% happy with any work that I have had done, Bike or Car!

In fact I now feel it is better to sympathetically restore what you have and keep as much of the original finish as you can
