GS topbox on standard GS. Anyone done it?

I have a standard 2003 GS with a black plastic BMW topbox but would like to fit an Adventure Ali topbox and mount instead. Is it possible without major bodging? I know that there are differences with the rear subframe fittings, so would I need to completely change it?

The ADV topbox mounting plate fits straight onto a standard GS.

do need a bracket to fit the rear bolts to. The mounting plate used for the System Black Plastic Top Box is perfect for the job....other than that as St. Eptoe says......

Ali Top Box

I have a 2002 GS with a GSA box on it.
The GSA mounting plate fixes on to the where the rear handle is. This has to be removed. The GSA mounting plate is then attached at the back by long bolts that I passed though a 3mm plate underneath. I locked off the nuts underneath and used locktite.
Its been like this for nearly 3 years with no problem.
