Putting this info up here because I could not find it by searching so had to wait until my Haines manual arrived.

Spark plus for GS1200 - BOSCH YR5LDE

I got my 4 replacements from Motobins @ £5.00 each, maybe others could also add other suppliers as I could not get these from Halfords and there appears to be no NGK substitute.

A little follow-up info for changing the sparkplugs. Easy job with the correct tools, All of my sparkplug sockets were too large to fit the bore. I had to grind one down, so if you are thinking of changing the plugs, see if you can get a socket on one of the side plugs (there are the tricky ones without the correct socket)

The Haynes manual says that you need a removal tool (for the ht connector), The two side mounting (main) spark plug connectors can be gently prised out with a screwdriver. To remove the two auxillary plugs (mounted at the bottom), you need to unscrew the weather guard (2 torx screws), you can then pull the connector down to remove.

NGK DCPR8EKC or DCPR8EIX for Iridium.

NGK DCPR8EKC.

A heads up regarding the above plugs. My dealer wanted £9.00 a plug (£36.00 in total). I bought from my local motor factoers and the exact same NGK was a massive £3.00 each (£12.00 for the four). Mind you, they didn't come in the expensive BMW box tho'. :augie

After more than 5 years since the model was released, the same old questions with same old answers.
