Removing sparkplugs?

Anyone succeeded in removing the sparkplugs on the Xchallenge?
I tried yesterday since I thought I'd switch to Iridium plugs, but couldn't get to them, I got as far as trying to remove the airbox but couldnt get it off the fuelinjector.

So two hours of work for nothing...

You can and you should remove airbox without touching FI.
After removing airbox spark coils must be removed (quite hard to get them out).
Next you must have long and thin spark plug key - whole for key is quite small so not all spark plug keys will fit.

Well I cant find where the airbox is attached to the FI air intake, I didn't dare to be to hard when trying to pull it off.

I have a long and thin spark plug key that fits my R1200GSA so hopefully that will fit.

there is just rubber grommet (#17 on above diagram) between air box and throttle housing assembly (#1 on bellowed diagram)

Could that rubber grommet be glued or is it just a tight fit?

tight fit. You also have to undo three fasteners ... two screws at the seat end of the airbox and one bolt thru the neck of the bike...
