GSA 1200 Topbox

I have been looking for a top box to match the panniers on my GSA,have bid on five or six over the last two months on ebay,after a bidding frenzy on most of them,average price has been around £320.00 +Postage £15-£20.Just bought a brand new one complete with all locks,adaptor plate,fitting kit,and key coding.£339.50p.I tried 3 different BMW dealers,all willing to do a deal,just goes to show bargains are not always found on ebay.Do people ever check new prices before bidding on ebay.

Probably not, I paid less than £300 for the topbox and mounting frame on my bike.

I agree....I've been staggered by the prices people are daft enough to pay for some stuff..A recent example was a sargent seat I was watching went for only about £5 less than the cost of a new one..WTF Some people are just too stoopid for words

Bahnstormer Motorrad, bought it when I got my 2008GSA, they keyed the topbox to my ignition key for free too but I had just parted with my old bike plus cash to the value of ten grand so a bit of a sweetener.

Topbox is a damned handy bit of kit for stowing the lid when shopping, carrying gear home afterwards and not affecting the ability to filter in traffic or fit into bike parking bays.

Price I paid was for supply only, fitted the mounting rack myself on their forecourt in 5 minutes as they were busy (only 4 bolts so an easy job).

I tried three dealers,Chester BMW £350.00 all in,Cotswold BMW £330.00,Riders Cardiff £339.50,went with Riders as it was the closest to me,going over tomorrow to pick it up and get the locks coded.
