GSA 1200 trips meters

Am I the only one who finds the fact that neither of the GS's two trip meters will clock over 1000 miles without going back to zero bloody annoying ???

1000 miles would be great! On my bike the meter zeroes already at 1000 Km. Why? Why indeed!
