GSA hub corrosion

My 1150 GSA is nearly 2 years old and I've done just 15K on it. Its always garaged at night. Cleaning it today was a bit peed off to find substantial corrosion on rear hub where spokes go through. Obviously caused by steel meeting alloy consequent electrolytic action and lifting silver paint. Would have expected better from BMW and its not as though these things are cheap. Anyone (everyone?) else had similar problems? Worth complaining while still under warrenty? Not an expert, but have a feeling that this might not be a problem with some Jap bikes I could name. Otherwise, bike is just fantastic in every respect!

And how would BMW avoid this? It is a problem on any bikes using steel for stength and alloy to save weight.

The only way is Titanium.

Mmmm.... Not sure about that. Ever looked at some of the older BMW bikes around bfore they painted the aluminium? Actually while I'm at it, there is corrosion soming through the paintwork where there ISN'T galvanic activity taking place either! Don't have that on my (much older) VW car wheels. Ever looked at the front forks yolk on a 4 year old GS? Still not convinced they couldn't sort this out. By the way one of my other vehcles is a Landrover Defender: - they're much worse!
