GSA IS A KEEPER

Yep....still loving mine....AF XIED units, Wunderlisch ergo seat (a game changer in all day comfort) and MRA xcreen make the perfect bike for me....keep trying the LC and just doesn’t have the same character.

a 1250 with active cruise could be the winner...

but why did they ever go to even weaker fork stantions?

(forget the ball joint falling out and kills you) they are pipe cleaners and yes, I get a fair few forces go through the telelever, but the old air cooled forks flex stupid amounts when you ride fast, so they need strengthening not making 75% weedier ????

you know the fix for this was 4 dents to hold in the ball joint rather than the original 2 !!! the collar was just a bodge on for old wreck's they didn't care about - check the sidewall thickness, slightly less than Bacofoil heavy duty.

Unfortunately after 370 miles on the XR this weekend and although the GS is amazing the XR just does everything that bit easier. Will give it a few more weeks but I think I’m going to sell the GS it’s an amazing bit of kit but it’s just not going to get used. Sorry for the U turn.

isn't the XR all revs and buzzy vibrations ?

I ragged the road bike one to death for 120 miles, hated every single moment.... I never found a best bit, but "tank slapping all the way to 140mph" was prevalent every time you turned the twist grip. And it had absolutely nothing below 8k and was very hard work waiting for it to get to the other side of 8k.... if I remember it only made any usable grunt after 9k and usually by then it was lock to lock multi lane weave....

and why is it all their 4 cyl bikes feel like there's no oil in the engine? you can hear and feel every rev scrapping metal off, its like every clearance is half what it supposed to be...

Good bye my friend. Hello the amazing XR. I

Sorry it’s now sold. Was a great bike. I’ve done about 2k on my XR and wasn’t going to use the GS. XR is just a bit more my type of bike.
