I just changed the front bearings and seals as a precaution. I bought original FAG bearings and good quality seals from simply bearings. They were cheaper than from bmw and came the next day.
As a point to note when I changed the bearings, one was fine but the other ran rough. When I popped the seal out of the bearing it had water inside and some water.
I never use a pressure washer so can only assume the slight wear had allowed water past the seal.
My bike has covered 20k miles.
