Hi all
at motorway speeds my head is in the turbulance created by the screen so much so that the road signs become blured (more noticable on the illuminated ones) i have lowered the screen to lowest setting but its still there and the noise is increased.
all practical sugestions welcome. but removing a section of neck is not an option.

is it possible to increase the screen angle by rotating the ratchet assembly and would this help?

screen add on bits are they any good if so which is the best?

cut the peg off

the ratchet nut/clamp assembly thingy (black thing you unscrew to loosen the screen to be able to move it) has a little black peg that locates it in a groove. this limits the max angle you can get on the screen.
I cut mine off with trusty dremmel, and sure enough my screen angle is now more vertical

worked for me!

I have one of the X Screens....fantastic, no buffeting visor up 90mph. Only down side is you are looking through the screen if you are under 5'10" but no a big chore. I have also has a GS with the Givi Airflow and can vouch for that as well. In terms of a comparison I would say they are similar in buffeting and noise but the airflow is definitely better at protection of arms and shoulders. Having said that the GSA/ X screen combo looks better IMO. I found angling it up slightly to be the best position for me at 6'1"

Have to say though at near £100 for a bit of plastic and the clamps it is expensive BUT is the best bit of kit I have bought so far. It would also be interesting if it does the same for a GS screen

Hope this helps.

try bringing the standard screen back a notch.

i find the issue is too much distance between the top of the screen and my head.

I think this is the first port of call if it works, great, if not plan, B

thanks one and all

+1 :thumb I have to agree, but it sounds like your screen is too short. adjusting your screen to a more vertical position gives you the height but it is too far away from your head

Doesn't suit everyone but I had a similar problem and fitted a Touratech Windscreen Spoiler and that worked 100% for me.
