Has anyone got info/experience on different screens for standard GS,Adventure screen looks the dogs, but is it much better than standard ?

I had both GS1200 & GSA1200 and have fitted nippy norman tall screen to both. Much better protection alround. Screen needs to be modified to fit the GSA12 but that easy with a sharp hacksaw.

Higher, wider and more rigid with the additional support bar, have just fitted one on the new bike but not had a chance to try it out yet.

I do know that their are lots of options out there which are superior to the standard screen (MRA Vario for example with the sliding upper section) which are a lot more cost effective than a new GSA screen.

The Dieserto 111 screen and cockpit unit is more expensive than a GSA screen and superb for providing still air and protection. If it would have fitted the 2008 model of th e bike I'd have kept it no question.

Thanhs for reply, agree does look good on bike, but where do they get that price from ?

Don't know if it helps with your comparison, but I can say that the GSA screen plus winglets is great for me at 5'11". Certainly not something on the bike that I'd care to change, unlike the screen on the standard GS. That said, I got my previous GS up to spec using tobinators.

Hi this is the same size as a GSA screen and it unbolts off the smaller dark one for offroading and summer use, it comes complete with the support bar and I can hopefully get them for about £190

Oh and these 640 mm across they come out as wide as the winglets heights 500 and 550mm high complete with support bar from £175.

I have had a Desierto III and must say this: The looks are great, but never had the "pocket of silence" with it. On a windstill day it is rather good, but with a little (side) wind it gets noisy and turbulent. No matter what position you put it.

I would rate it above the 12GS screen, more on the same level as a standard screen + spoiler like.
