Just had the first service done on my GSA yesterday and it had noticeably more vibration through the Bars and foot pegs while riding home. I have had a few Gs's over the years so I am familiar with their quirks but would have expected the bike to be the same if not smoother running. The service was done in record time, approx 40 minutes. Usually i am hanging around for a few hours.

Should I go back to the dealer or just put up with it till the next service.

Go back to the dealer....had the same issue and when i checked the throttle bodies they were out of balance....luckily was able to borrow a mates vacuum gauges to check. Went back to the dealer who took the bike back and readjusted....all good.

I have had one or two issues after servicing and always found the dealer open to a conversation and willing to look at again...time before was a leaking FD oil seal after the previous leaking oil seal was replaced. Not great at £300 a pop but at least the goodwill bit works when stuff breaks that shouldn't.

Thanks for the advice. I will go back to the dealer and explain the vibes. I have been a long standing customer so hopefully they will check the throttle balance without question. It's the time to do all this when somone has rushed the job in the first place as it is a two and a half our round trip for me before they put a spanner on it. I usually request a particular mechanic but with the weather probs they said just turn up when you can and we will do the service on any day other than Saturday. I did question the speed in which they did the whole thing and they even had time to pressure the bike off !

The sevice was a free one covered in the deal.

Did they give you a copy of the print out of the work they did or just stamp the book? Sounds like they did very little maybe not change any fluids - just plug it into the diagnostics to see if there were any error codes.

I didn't get a print out of work done but they read out from the sheet they had changed engine and final drive oil. The only oil change i really insist on at a first sevice on a GS is the final drive. The last GS i had done at 600 miles the mechanic came out to chat me through what he had done which is always reasuring and commented on the final drive oil coming out like grey soup.

I have had a look and it has a new oil filter and the oil in the sight glass looks new. I might rap some sponge round the foot pegs and tape it on till i get the dealer to check it out.

I don't belive for one minute this dealer would not do a thorough job, my biggest problem is i never like complaining.

I am wondering if i should have bought a Skidoo snow thing.
