just travelled 250km on my 1300GSA fully loaded and no problems at any speed (up to 70).
However I do not have the moving topbox plate (I modified mine).

havin g a moving topbox is not logical to me no matter what anyone says. - and my bike is stable

I do not like the idea of a moving top box, well known too much weight inside one can unbalance the bike.
I am curious would heavier handlebar ends make any difference?

I have not seen anyone else suggest this modification, also the fitting of a stabilizing bar on the top of the handlebars like on older models, might help, worth a try?

Hi everyone. Thanks for mentioning this mate. Lots of others who own them are having the same problem from all over the world as I predicted. I know it wasn’t just mine doing it after I took the demo bike out. My dealership have been great but BMW UK have their heads stick up their respective ar**s.

It’s only a slight wobble between 38-50mph but at its peak at 42mph. Found purely by accident as I don’t normally ride with my hands off the bars but the fact is it’s there and shouldn’t be.
Had a similar thing on my 2010 1200GS, at 32mph...It was the front tyre, conti trail attack. It was a free tyre replacement from tyre manufacturer and cured the problem. Quite a gew others had similar findings and the same remedy. Might be the same type of issue

2011 gsa similar issue down to a from a front TA 2, 2018 1200GSA turned into a dangerous sh*t handling bike all down to the Dunlop Meridians , they were just as bad on my F800GSA and both sets were on the bike for less than 700 miles

Why does any cùnt want to ride their motorcycle no handed?
Its not like we're thirteen trying to impress girls.... or boys if that's your thing.
I won't judge you, I'll leave that to my vengeful god

two examples

Honda CB250 RS used to do it like crazy rolling off from 35mph or something - so violent if you took your hands off the bars it wanted to go lock to lock, hands on the bars, no real issue - did it the entire life of the bike, brought brand new and through loads of tyres for more than 15 years

my 2007 R1200GS - got a puncture repair on the front and ever since on that tyre substantial low speed wobble around 25-30 mph - no where else - carried on till the tyre was replaced and instantly disappeared

check rear slop on the swinging arm bearings - check ride heights - eat more protein

My GSA ( twincam ) 1200 did not do this ,,,,, hands of the bar with throttle lock on ,,, take camera from tank bag take pic replace . ( full luggage )
I had 3 transalps ,, bars on the all , and ALWAYS picked up an increasing “ wobble “ , pals Africa twin Sport 1100 does it .
The Suzuki DE 800 V Strom I now have never does it ,,, Rock solid at 60 mph with hands off
All very strange
I was going to post similar. My TC does not have this problem. The only issue i ever had like this was arounf the 160kmh mark - could bring it on to order - got the suspension rebuilt and it was history.
But i am viewing this post thread with interest as I have half an eye on a 1300 GSA...

The worst bike for this was the pan european...not P version...but it did not like the top box being more that about 500g

Which is strange ,, I had 3 Pans , 1 of 1100 , and 2 new ST 1300 ,s ,,, rode some significant miles on them , solo , 2 up . 2 up loaded ,,, none of those had any stability issues . :nenau :nenau

Unlike the Police UK spec ST1300's , our force crushed 6 of them of which 3 had never been ridden . Having seen the videos taken of the stability issues at speed and spoken to the riders they were absolutely terrifying and dangerous
