I use a ZUMO 660 so the GPS wheel control is not useful to me. Furthermore I find it useless even with the NAV IV. I use wired headphones as I don't enjoy bluetooth.

It would be great if it could control the 660's MP3 player though... (volume up and down and track selections back and forward )

On the other hand, I find the original auxiliary light switch placed to far away to be confortable...

I think it would be great if the wheel control could be used to control the ZUMO's MP3 track selection and volume settings ...

Anyone have any thoughts on how to do this ?

Also, anyone knows or have thoughts on how the wheel control coud be wired to control something else throug a relay ?

It would be great to hear any thoughts on the subject.

I think you have no chance of persuading the wheel to control other functions. If you want a wheel that controls your iPod, buy a 1600.

You could put some stickers on it and turn it into a wheel of fortune, something you could play with in the garage on those long winter nights, get a few mates in and a couple of beers and play, WHEEL OF FORTUNE ? :nenau

when you select the MP3 player through the wheel,, by flicking left or right,, when the mp3 logo is showing near the album/track info (top right hand corner) press and HOLD the wheel to the right it will sip the track for you,,

as for volume control, no joy its blue tooth only,, Unless you use an inline ear piece with volume control ? I use seinhausser I phone one, works brill but mine is connected to a blue tooth dongle too
hope it helps
