Did your request your bulbs to be 4300k ?
If not you should exchange them.
From Les's site:
" Note that Original fit HID bulbs on cars are typically at 4300K. Why is that less suitable for conversions? OEM HIDs in cars are designed with dichroic projector lamps that split the colour of the HID light. That's why from some angles (particularly close to the cutoff) the OEM HIDs look blue (beyond 6000K) and from other angles they look as yellow as halogen lights (3000K). The bulk of the light they throw forward however is around 5000K. When you convert a OEM halogen light to HID, you will not have a dichroic projector lamp specifically designed for HIDs. Therefore to get a similar colour to the OEM HIDs, you need to use 5000 or 6000K. If you choose 4300K, WITHOUT having a dichroic projector light unit, you will end up with a yellowy beam."

There isnt a massive different between 4300 and 6000, not sure where you got that advise from.

Candlepowerforums.com
Very knowlegable people there, they are the engineers that produce these lights for Phillips and Osramhttp://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/

Ask and they will provide you with the data you seek.

Tks,
Charles Ansman

Try HID50.com its a web site for HID conversions, they have specific conversions for GS's, 50 watt H7 & H11 conversion £159 each. 35 watt H7 & H11 conversions £119 each. A friend has fitted his Adventure with the conversion and what a difference, i'm just saving up for mine now. :bow

Just a quick line about the prices on the wwwhid50.com site, these BMW pacific made kits are internet prices and go towards the site up keep, prices to UKGSER and other Forums have a discounted price :thumb

Thank You

that's great Les, now of you don't mind keeping your adverts to your own threads, I don't post on yours as a matter of web etiquette. I'm sure you would appreciate for me to continue like this.

Apologies Zero, no intention on hijacking your thread, just a quick defence of the Webb site.

To be fair zerocool, this is an open forum, and with you having made the comment about the prices at HID50, I don't see what the problem is with Les posting in this thread and making the point about the prices he charges UKGSer members.

and very happy with results

what a difference :D

prompt fast delivery :thumb2

hardest bit is finding a mount for the ballasts
