Took my bike in for the fuel gauge to be fixed and they gave me one of these as a courtesy bike.
Awesome bike, mind blowingly fast, yet very composed. The chasis was excellent and was so easy to flick about. I have to say though that even though it has oodles of HP it didnt feel as bonkers or brutal as my K6 gixxer. I'm sure on track it'd beat the gixxer comfortably, but it didnt give me that sensation of shear terror/adrenalin that my gixxer gave me.
After half an hour I realized why I gave up sportsbikes. At 6'4" they're just too small and uncomfortable unfortunately. After an hour I felt like I'd done 24 hours non stop. Still, great experience and glad I got the chance to ride one.
What I've found strange is that over the past few weeks I've had the K1300S and S1000RR as courtesy bikes and just jumped straight on them and felt right at home, but then when I've got back on the GSA it's felt completely alien and took a good 20-30 mins to get used to again. The riding position felt odd and the bike somehow felt like an old relic. I find it odd that I adapt straight away to a bike Ive never ridden, and then struggle to afapt back to my own bike
And after getting off the S1000RR the GSA felt like riding a north sea ferry so to speak.
However, once familiar with the GSA again I wouldn't swap it for anything
