Awesome. Not. Just found out (after I did all the chasing, mind

) that Park Lane BMW (where it HAD to be recovered to yesterday (Friday) - didn't have any real choice in the matter) aren't even going to start looking at it until "Monday at the earliest". So 6 days in to ownership and no bike for (at my guess) at least a week.
Guess I might just as well cancel my week off and go back to work next week then....
Happy days
It's a bit late now, but maybe not.
If you can get your bike back, it's probably rideable, and sign up as a site sponsor (£12) you can contact Steptoe of this parish, who may be able to help you.

He is not a million miles away. He was, I think, also doing GS hire (private). You could try Fanum, too, perhaps as he has bikes he hires for MotoMorroc. It's worth a shout.
You say there was lots of oil, covering the back tyre, brake calliper etc. It's possible that the causes might be several but the simple oil seal (around the big hole in the rear drive) does not leak that much, as a rule.
We had a bike on the Turkey trot with a rear wheel and tyre dripping with oil, there was so much. IA little bit goes a long way as they say, only as the wheel's rotation flings the oil outwards, like a spin dryer.
The cause? Not an oil seal at all.
A mechanic had simply not tightened the filler plug that lives behind the wheel, next to the ABS sensor. Refilled the final drive (it's not a lot of oil) and tightened the filler bolt and all was well.
