OK, so i asked before what the story was with changing the worn out heated grips on a GS1150 (the bmw guy said you need to change the whole element, wiring etc, basically €250 for parts) and i now know it's just a standard pair of grips, cos the old ones peal off handy enough. I bought 2 different pairs and none fit. They get over the heating element no problem, but they're a tiny bit too short, and the inside bit doesn't fit flush against the clutch fluid resevoir. they just look wrong.
So if anyone got a set online that fitted nicely i would be grateful if they told me where they got them, and which ones fitted. Or if i can just buy a bmw non heated set would they fit? probably too tight.
