Hi I owe a 2010 GS and would like to bring the handlebars an inch closer to relieve an upper back problem I have. I've already bought some 'up and back' risers which help but still dont quite achieve the desired riding position.

Thought about swapping to the 'cow horn' handlebar from the earlier model but I am told by BMW that it will not fit.

Any ideas on an alternative bar or a firm that can produce a custom shape ?

Cheers, Mike

I fitted the 'up and back' risers, but also changed to a set of Renthal Fatbars. This is a little more involved than fitting the standard bars, but was well worth it, I couldn't get on with the original bend at all.

Thanks Mark. I understood the Fatbar to have a flatter profile so won't achieve what I'm looking for - is that correct :nenau

Not sure if the GSA is the same as the GS but on the 1210 GSA you can reverse the risers to to change the bar position, can't remember if it brings them closer or further, but details are in the manual.
