i went to fit risers to my bars earlier today, only to notice that the clamps hadn't been fitted correctly. further inspection revealed insufficiently tight bolts as well as poorly placed clamps. spoke to my dealer who said the bikes come with the bars already fitted, so this was a factory issue.
if this is indeed true, then other bikes may be affected, so i thought a 'heads up' on this forum might be in order, so you good people can check.
not wishing to teach 'granny to suck eggs' but if anyone is in doubt, there should be no gap at the front of the pinch clamps, only a gap at the rear and torque value is 19Nm. torque front two first and then rear two.
