As you can see from the title above, I don't even know what these things are called but I'm trying to get one for my 1150GSA. Any ideas?

your local plumber's merchant will probably give you a length of closed cell foam pipe lagging for nothing if you ask nicely and tell them you are a tosser...same thing but no roundel............

Your local BMW dealer do the pad thingy and cover for about £15.00

Thanks Mark
I'll contact BMW.

Not sure what T.I.M. was on about in this thread unless of course it was a statement aimed at mocking my ignorance. If so, I'm grateful to T.I.M. for giving me early warning that this site, like so many on the internet, has it's sh*t heads. I guess that explains the lack of traffic.

Life is full of shit heads :D

Seriously though, did you not even consider that the company that created your bike might well sell spares for it?:nenau If you didn't then, I am not surprised that you take offence at comments on the internet.

Lack of traffic?

Good luck getting your new pad thingy:thumb2

Plenty of traffic here:thumb

Most dealers will have all the parts you require and they aren't too expensive in most cases

HORNBLOWER:
For all things MOTOWORKS, Motobins, James Sherlock or Steptoe on this very site are your friends.

If it is mechanical or electrical, Steptoe for fixing it. The others for bits to fix it, if Steptoe doesn't have it.

By one of those strange coincidences I've just bought the very same thingy from Motorworks
They call it a "Handlebar Crash Pad" Part No. HAA56988 £15.60 INC VAT

its just bling boys, come on now, aint going to save your teeth....

Wouldn't you be impaled on the screen before you hit the handlebar brace? I can't say I've ever tried...

What colour you want? I have 2 that came with the bike. One red and one black (i think).

If I can find them I'll post it FOC.

I've been called sh*thead a few times today actually, must be true. And not so much mocking ignorance, more an expression of disbelief and mild... oh go on then it was a piss take about the lack of imagination required to post the question. Oh by the way does anyone know where i can buy some shoes?:thumb

OK
I take it all back, this is a very generous offer. My original post may have been a trifle niaive but as I bought the bike second hand I wrongly asumed that the 'crash pad' was an after market accessory. The GSA is a silver/grey tank model. I would like to take up your kind offer, how should we procede?

pm me your address and i'll send it :thumb2

Sorry Sockpuppet, that's the problem with posting on an iPhone, you sometimes miss the posts in between. If I've missed the boat then so be it and I'll order from one of the sellers that have been helpfuly suggested. Oh and Ilustrated Man, I'm sure you're not really a sh*t head, just a trifle intolerant.
