I asked a while ago if anyone knew of a suitable switch which could be used to switch a set of fog lights on/off.

I didn't want to go the NN auto switch route. BM have at last found a part number and price for the switch used on the new 1200gs ADV. (£52.50) for feckin switch??

However I have found this:-

I am a present trying to find out if Yamaha UK hold it in stock or can order it as it is replacement for a Yamaha part?

Will let you know.

Regards

ED

I won't be able to sleep until i find out

Ok Steptoe you can sleep now :P . The switch is available price £32 at any Yam dealer.

However the one I found was on a Yank website www.peakmoto.com works out at £20.70 including postage?

It is a universal switch for handlebar fitment. Just what I need to finish off my Micro DE installation. Thought it may be handy for other GS'ers?

Thanks for the information.
I take it that you mean this switch,
K&S - 12-0050
-20mm Width
-Headlight Off-Hi-Lo
-Engine Kill Switch

Have you found any use for the kill switch function?

I was thinking about mounting a switch on the beak, just in front of the BMW power socket. Did you decide against this?

Given that an Autoswitch is only £15ish i'm wondering why you want to pay £20 for a Yam one?

No the switch I have ordered is just a Mini universal on/off switch.

The NN auto switch may be cheaper but the thought of having to use the turn switch for 0.8 seconds to activate the lights to my is a bit hit and miss. I just wanted a waterproof switch that I could switch on or off. No messing with turn switches?

Everyone to they own?

So a BIG CHEERS to them :beerjug:
