That's a hell of a thing to say. Have you ridden a 600 or 1 000-class superbike anytime this century?
The riding position on bikes designed to be ridden fast deliberately puts as much of the rider's weight as possible, as forward as possible. Amongst other things, this is done specifically to increase rider feedback. This is why all three oil-cooled GSs I've owned have felt far more confidence-inspiring after rotating the bar mounts to the forward position. And this is why I was pissed off to see that BMW saw fit to move away from that mode of handlebar position adjustment.
And before you claim the GS and GSA weren't designed to be ridden this way, ask yourself why they gave it a claimed 125 BHP and dynamic abilities that let it breathe down the neck of said superbikes on roads with anything resembling bends?
More to the point: how do you know the guy has a 'riding technique problem'? Have you watched him in action? If not, from what position do you make this lofty judgement?
SiRich: a lot of us have problems with hand and wrist pain - especially on the right.
One thing I've found to help is fifteen minutes, twice a day, with those spring-loaded hand exercisers you buy in sporting-goods stores. Try combining that with consciously relaxing BOTH your hands every ten minutes or so.
