Just got back last night from a trip to Italy, via France, Switzerland and Germany on the way back. Bike was loaded with panniers, tank bag and tail bag, and was rock solid. I also know what the top speed of the bike is, thanks to the Autobahn!
Which loaded with a packed softbag seems to be around 134 (according to nav4)....
Agree.... Incredibly solid. With pillion and heavy load kept it on rain mode for motorway and road for B roads. Bike is just amazing in every way and the PROOF is in the following. Today she asked me for the FIRST time ever( no it wasn't" that and I'd o that properly anyway) .... She said.... Can you please go a little faster darling!!!! At the time I was doing 155 Kmh just over 100 mph... She has never ever said that before.... Love my GS ... In Bourges now and off to Asti tomorrow for lunch...
Well she's obviously sensitive to your manly pride. She probably wanted it badly, desparately even, but would never ask you to do more than 100mph on a TC knowing you only have a couple of mph left. Just too humiliating.
Half the clothing you have packed , you can get stuff out there , take old pants to throw away as you go . You really don't need much stuff . Having just got back from Turkey , you'll love it out there !
