Nathan,

I am up at Cadwell over the weekend so will miss this one, but up for a run out next weekend if you are around. Jay is looking to get out and recce the lanes for the Hog Raost rideout so PM him.

Cheers:thumb2

Sorry, doing an enduro over in kent. Always the same, no rideouts for weeks then they all come at once - have a good run. :(

can't do this weekend, HUMM next weekend, next free 10-11 July if there's anything going on then

You still planning on doing this Nathan? Now I've finished Pinky's pannier bars am looking for a ride..

Ok see you at 9, is that meet at 9 or set off at 9?!

Normally get between 75-80 miles if were not caning, if we are then drop that to 65-70miles!

Todd,

thanks for the company:D. for those that didn't make it, we covered about 150 miles! Got away at 9.15am, and got back at 4.30pm.

The route took us from winchester across to salisbury, down to pepper box hill and onto the south plain at downton. From here we nipped across on the old ox drove to Win green, had lunch at the little arirfield 2 minutes down the road, and then back onto the other drove road back to salisbury race course.

A quick blatt up the A36 to stapleford, quick refuel and on to tilshead via the army practice village. From tilshead we continued north towards westbury, where we picked up the "ridgeway" which took us along to netheravon, where we skirted around the airfield, and onto the lanes behind tidworth.

After a little play on the old marlborough road, we dropped down to shipton bellinger, where we cut across to Andover. A few more lanes took us down to stockbridge, and onto houghton, which conected the loop up.

There was plenty of wild life out today, spoilt with the sight of a few escaped ferrets, the odd fine filly, and a long haired bakerman spotted jut outside weyhill.... :aidan

Sounds like a great days riding. So, big question is this the route for the hogroast? Are you really going to get them on a 150 mile Nathan special...

I'm not sure yet Jay.

While the pace was steady, i'm not sure with times set as they currently are that we could get back in time if there is a big group.

It was a similar route to the one i ran last year, and we finally got back around 7pm. Dirty bike competition is 5.30pm, i'd better not miss this one!

Need to sit down with a map and work out which bits i can cut out (only the boring stuff mind) if we get short on time...
