2) Yeah ... the Remus knocks the top end down, not as sweet as the decatted original. Sure JB came to that conclusion with his Xchallenge

I've run both Tim, currently my bike is fitted with the decatted standard can, which went on for the TAT trip.
If anything the motor felt slightly strangled at the top end when using the standard can against the Freeride Remus that i was running back in blighty, however, this was on regular US fuel, which had a much lower RON rating.
That said the reduction is noise far out weighed any performance increase

You see what you have started now JB. I've been happily riding my X Country and slowly changing bits to make it how I want it for the last 3 years, And now the whole country and his girlfriend has got/getting one. You have single handily driven the cost of these great bikes out of the reach of us poor working class bikers.
So tell us all JB, How much do BMW pay you to increase the profile of bikes they can't sell.
