Happiness is

tool tube.
what a waste of time(sorry to offend)
hav'nt yet found anything usefull that will actually fit in one.
got one on my 650. empty

Sorry Mike

I completely and utterly disagree with that statement

My farmer customers find them extremely useful on their John Deere tractors, to store their tractor and implement manuals in - the purpose that they were intended for:D

On a motorbike...................load of bollox:bounce1

A few years ago I started just such a thread, something along the lines of "where do you keep your tool tube? On the shelf, like everyone else?:D

Since then, necessity and imagination have played their part and it's now invaluable. JB could even keep a flask of hot vegetable broth in one and half a baguette in the other:thumb

You must have BIG tools to put in there:augie

There is a Dutch company making something very similar as a fuel tank, Compleat with pump linked to main tank.

Saw it on adventure rider on, Show us you're X Country thead.

Cheers Dave.

Some would say I am a Big tool :)

Seriously it also acts as a throw over pannier support and even with panniers and a roll bag on you can get at your tools. It's big enough to hold a full tool kit for the bike inc inner tubes, toe rope etc you could Carry a 1 ltr fuel canister in it but as I have a TT tank the only time I did that was to test my reserve which was a mere 75 miles!!!

No pump required to link to main tank.........just connected via the main tank overflow pipe.

A bit more fuel.

I have fitted this in a couple of places but not been really happy with it, either too high or I catch my boot on it.
This time I thinks it's just right. When I'm happy with it I'll have the bracket powder coated. Home design cut out of cereal packet, taken to work and handed over to fabricator to weld up.

Not seen your fuel bottle holder in the flesh, Just saw one picture and thought that might be a idea to try.

Great minds think alike.

Will be at Rainbow tomorrow afternoon on X Country.

Cheers Dave.
