Anyone know if there is a difference between a standard 1150 hardpart and an ADV one? I have one and don't really know which one it's for.

Thanks for any assistance

Thanks for that John.

Can't see the exact difference unless the ADV one is a little broader. I have one and can't remember which one it's for as I managed to source a bigger tank so may have bought it for the original tank or maybe..........

Could anyone measure their hardpart for me so I can compare sizes with mine (what's all that laughing at the back?)

as far as i know the adv one has the bracket for the brake pipe protection

and if anyone has an adv one going spare please get in touch

Looking at the photos they both have the brake pipe attachment.
Still puzzled.

My Adv hardpart is 18cm at the widest part and just short of 2cm high.

The size of tank won't make any difference - the hardpart is on the "tea tray" well below the tank.

Thanks for the size, I'll nip out to the garage and measure mine (I'll need some privacy :D ).
One other point. Are they different in size as I was under the impression that it was there to stop the handle bars going to far and denting the tank if you have an off.As the Std and Adv tanks are different I assumed the hardpart would be different. I have a spare ADV tank I want to fit after respraying and I bought a hardpart off here and can't for the life of me remember which one it was for. If it's a standard one I guess it'll go back on the board.

Cheers again

as far as i know it is not the tank but the stearing stops on the cast bit of the frame/yoke that gets knackered

and still would like and Adv version if anyone has a spare :thumb
