One thing to watch...
Last year I swapped my BMW K1600 for an Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic.
My K1600 was insured with BMWs own insurance. When I swapped bikes I had just 2 months to go until the policy expired and I earned another year no claim discount. In other words I was in month 10 of the current years insurance.
BMW wouldn't insure the Harley, they said they only insure BMWs. They said the only thing I could do was to cancel the policy and lose out a years NCD for the sake of two months.
The moral, if you insure with a manufacturers insurance scheme such as the Harley Davidson insurance which is by Carol Nash, make sure they will still insure you if you change to a different make bike.
Or don't change until the old policy has ended.
