First thing I did was order a smaller plate, I have them on all my bikes and not been stopped so far. If it turns out to be a keeper I'll probably go for one of those lay flat mounts too.I always used to carry the big plate to pit my stove on when camping;

The wee metal ones fit good cause there’s a wee bevel at top of adjustable height bracket - to accommodate all the inmate made metal ones in States.

Please indulge me - what actually is it? A softail something?? I will go to my grave with the whole Harley FXRTZkXS naming thing a complete mystery. All I know is it's a great looking bike.
Deffo fit the genuine HD forwards… they do not list them for this model, but they fit.. I know I had them.
I paid about £490 from Jersey HD.. as mentioned prob a bit more from a dealer.
But worth it for fit and function.

Thanks for the advice. I went round to a mate’s today voicing my doubts about the bike, and being a wise fella he reminded me that no matter how challenging it feels to ride at the moment there’s almost certainly a good bike in there. We went for a couple of beers and on the way back the bike felt much better

The mid controls sit too high, the Seat pushes you forward… creating a strange hip angle….
Forward controls solves it immediately
Yeah, I don’t think they’re designed for a 34” leg.
