Harley virgin with questions

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to try changing the seat first, followed by higher risers with a pullback if necessary. I thought I spent a lot on my Scrambler getting it right for me but this is another level. I've even considered trading it in against a RKS or a glide, but there's a good bike in there so I'm not quite ready to give up yet.
Don't give up :D

Yes, I think you’re right.
Probably find cheaper on eBay, but paint will come off chinky ones?! lol

IMG_2685.jpegAnother update. Several changes as advised on here.
6 inch risers with 1” pullback are a gamechanger. Only managed a few miles with them on but they make all the difference.
I tried a Saddlemen touring seat but sent it back because it was a bit too much for the bike, may revert to a less voluminous Saddlemen in time.
Baffles in the short shots have made it a lot easier on the neighbours, but are a short term fix; will replace with a 2:1 if it turns out to be a keeper.
And finally the lay flat number plate which I love (but need to paint the back black).

Looking good....even better when you get those Bassani 2-1's.

Harleys are just so...configurable. (y)

I was going to offer you a Saddlemen seat I have for sale, but you say you’ve tried one.

So if anyone wants a Saddlemen touring seat ( think they call it the explorer) for less than retail price, but in excellant as new condition)
then give me a shout before I have to put it on evil bay.
