Has anyonei Bristol got an Oil Filter Wrench

Has anyone in the centre of Bristol got a 1200 oil filter wrench I could borrow - didn't realise they were different to the 1150's

Looking at the website - the only one I can see has 14 sides - thought the GS had 12?

I've got a chain wrench you can borrow if you need it - if it's dry tomorrow I will be happy to run it over to you as I want to take the bike out to try out camera mounts.

Is there enough room around the filter to even get a chain wrench on?

Not sure there is enough room for a chain - but have never tried it - and obviously by nature of the post haven't done an oil change on this bike as yet - was trying to avoid the ancient screw drive and hammer technique - remember it well from Morris Minor days

Just looking on the Halfords site - though a bit expensive compared to the Motorworks wrench (not the BMW) this looks interesting - wonder if it would fit

I ended up at Halfords because chain wrench and strap wrench won't fit. I also got my magnetic plug spanner from there.

It's lucky they had the filter socket because the old filter was done up solid. No way would the screwdriver (bodge) method have worked.

Tip: once you undo the filter, check the rubber seal hasn't bonded onto the engine block with the heat. It makes the job a pain if you put the new filter over the top as it will leak.

Morris Minor had the old internal cartridge type of filter element (although many owners fitted spin-on canister conversions).
