Front brake seemed a bit spongy and still a bit parnoid about the rear pads since they were changed under warranty at 800 miles, so a quick pop in there, and they fitted me in whilst i availed myself of their free coffee and out with new rear pads and the fronts overhauled and cleaned and the system bled through. All under warranty.

Top job guys ( and gals)

Always a pleasure :beerjug:

They get a BIG Thumbs up from me too... I travel round trip 140 miles to use them..

I guess they just didn't like me then. The messed me around and f*cked up on three separate occasions.

first two times, I dropped the bike off for a service (18K and 24K). Despite dropping it of at 8am, they failed to complete the service that day (there were no complications/or problems with the bike) obviously took on too much work.

The third time, I had the bike delivered to them for repair after an off. After collating a list of parts to be replaced, the sales guy promptly went on holiday without handing over to anyone else, meantime I am getting calls from the insurance company saying where is the estimate. I called about three times, "no one is available, take a message and someone will get back to you", but no one did. I go over there in the car and track someone down, Oh, yes here it is, I will get that sorted. I got another call from the insurance company, they still hadn't received the estimate. So I phoned back, "ah sorry been busy". I got the bike back 6 weeks after they had received it and signed a form saying I was happy with the work, I get a call a couple of months later, they have lost the bit of paper and can't get the money from the insurance company, can I sign another copy!

I won't touch them ever again.

They too busy fitting the wc guys in on the fly with pannier lockds and other warranty recall issues ;-)

on my GSLC , the front brake master failed early into my ownership (2014 bike). Spongy brake lever , can be squeezed to the grip.

Why not start your own "I hate Vines" thread, rather than pissing all over this one?

I bought a bike off them once, they were ok.................bit glitzy for me though

You could tell the clientele they normally deal with:D

London commuters;)

Always good to hear a full range of opinions on a local company to form a good overall picture.

A simple search of "Vines" will turn up threads both good and bad, but tarnishing a positive thread with something negative that probably happened years ago isn't very fair.:rob

I guess they just didn't like me then.... :blagblah
What an odd thing to post on a thread where the creator is clearly happy with the service he received.

You're coming across as bitter and twisted with this one, but I'm sure that isn't the case.

Agreed what is it with you lot? Like the guy who wrote about the "Fun' he was having in Dynamic mode, Nice innocent remark turned into a rant about "semantics" and people boasting about bikes that, to be quite frank, we have no proof they ever owned.

We'll be onto knob sizes next, (no not panniers debate).

I use and recommend Chandlers, Portslade, Brighton. 5 star excellent service.

Would any body like to piss on them now?

Vines

I have had many bikes from the guys at Vines, both at Guildford and one from Redhill. Always found them easy to deal with and now Darren is back normal service is resumed in the service department.

Always easy to knock. But if you don't explain to a supplier when you have an issue then not much point in knocking on a forum. I think.

I would think Vines is probably one of the top bike dealerships in the Uk.

+1 I have had 6 bikes from Vines over the years and have been happy with the service, the couple of problems I have had over the years have always been sorted! My wife and I have also owned 4 Honda, 2 Kawasaki and 1 Suzuki in this time (and still have a Honda) so I am not a pure BMW person and I haven't felt the need to use a different BMW dealer to Vines. Darren is very helpful and knowledgeable so I was pleased when he came back to Guildford!

They are a business providing a service to a group of consumers with varying expectations.....businesses are people, culture and brand... Then service, quality and product.... You are from a group of consumers with varying expectations... if we enjoy the meeting of expectation, brand, service quality and to a lesser degree for vines clients..price.....then we as a business enjoy happy customers...... If any of the elements are out of line... Then we have customer dissatisfaction...

Simples.....
