went out last night and lost the headlight low beam and had to return on hi beam. "light!" notification on cluster.
today I changed a blown globe H7 but still the light is not switching on.

measured the light loom plug and found no 12V for low beam, 12V measured on Hi Beam however.
Australia version has fulltime low beam switchable to hi beam. Has anyone seen this?

I followed the light loom to a central location under the tank so may be a control issue, the switch bank looks like is only providing control signals. Need ideas..

thanks Graham

As daft as it seems, and possibly of no help to you, but did you try the new bulb before you put it in? It has been known.

Swap the dip and main bulbs over so the original main is in the dip Some aftermarket bulbs have been known to be not compatible with the canbus system.
You should not need to remove the fault code from the ecu but it might help.

I might be stating the obvious, but are you measuring for power with the engine running ? There is no power to the headlight with just the ignition switched on.

I have swapped the globes over, and both work in the Hi beam, so its not the globe.
I measure a low voltage to the Lo beam connection in the plug. 0.2V should be 12V, something going on with switching circuit. I am new to 1200GS, and dont know how to remove the fault from the ECU. Do you think I should do that? I have removed the battery and re-connected, but no change.

Gee I'm a dummy. you are right.:)
looking for faults that are not there, well at least I have learnt something apologies to all.

Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. You live and learn :blast
