Can any one advise me, on which head set would be ok to use, with the 660, and where from.???..I have a flip front helmet..

Ok what do you use,?? with your zumo 660, Star com or Auto com, or that scarla bluetooth if I said that right.

Interphone F4

I have the 660 & use it with a Nokia N95 mobile 'phone.

I use an interphone F4 - connects via bluetooth to both the SatNav & through it to the 'phone.

I think the Scala is very similar.

For me the choice between these two would be dictated by my choice of helmet - the Interphone speakers are thicker.

I use either an AGV S4 (2008 version) with the full-face kit, and the speakers are a bit of a squeeze (I think the cheekpad style has changed in the 2010 S4 version, and is probably a bit more accomodating) & a Roof Boxer with the open face/flip-up "universal kit" which works OK when the front is up & over, but there's not really enough room for the mike behind the front plate when its locked down.

Tomorrow is my **th birthday & hence I will be fitting the universal kit to a new Shark Evoline to replace my tired Boxer.

As far as I can tell both the Scala and Interphone are pretty similar - I bought the Interphone as most reports seemed to suggest that it had better sound performance - probably as a result of its thicker form factor. In time I plan to get a set of Ultimate Ear monitors (or some such).

I have gone for the Scala solo, it has had some good reviews, so I have purchased it through Amazon for £89.

Thanks - I hope you get on well with the kit, I think the thinner Scala speakers are probably easier to fit.

I have a Zumo 660 connected to an Autocom 300. There are pictures on the site somewhere. I have hard wired audio between the zumo and autocom and BT audio for the phone between the zumo and autocom. My phone connects to the zumo, so i can manage call's there.

I have a Schuberth C3 flip helmet with the Autocom headset fitted - which it has been fitted for ~a year with no problems. Again, photo's on the forum somewhere.

You need to tell us a little more about how you want to use it
- just to listen to directions/music
- connect a phone
- rider/pillion comms
- bike -> bike coms

This will help narrow down the choice.

I met someone at the Horizons Unlimited meeting with a Nolan bluetooth helmet who was very pleased, except he got some interferene around heathrow and lower audio quality which he put down to the bluetooth connection.
