A few people have repaired their headlight (ball & socket) rather than pay £200 to BMW
Whats the best method ?

Headlight adjuster

Take headlight unit off bike.
Take out your bulbs.
Fish around inside using a hooked tool (kinda like a wire coathanger made into a hook)
Get your hook behind the cup and pull.
Pull reflector unit with finger through empty bulb hole and reunite your cup and ball.
Reinstall adjuster screw and nut.
To be fair it took me 1.5 hrs in front of the MOT test station when my adjuster fell apart and plenty of blue language but that procedure works.

Get it replaced under warranty.
