Slight Prob with the headlight bulbs which routinely blow -now up to my sixth bulb in 4000 miles which is gettin on me wick.everything is dry and dandy in there and I cant detect a short.Any Ideas gents:comfort

If you allways use the same type/brand, try a different one.
If not, measure voltage, if thats ok look if the front light assemply is mounted as it should.
Not sure if it is mounted elastic in some way. If so, make sure it does not touch any part which transfers vibrations into it (e.g. front screen).

I went through a few in less than 20000km... Not cool. Change to HID 15000km ago and no blown globe.

Just sayin...

I agree whole heartedly with the comments above.

My 2005 R1200GS went through loads of dip bulbs.

Changed to one of Les's Hid50 kits.

This kit has now been on two different GS's and covered about 50,000 miles
with no problems.

The other bonus is that you can see where you are going at night and that
others can see you (and hopefully get out of your way).

Osram Night Racer. Bike specific i.e. more resistant to vibration. It appears the bikes come with standard H7 car bulbs and are often replaced with the same. I bought a pair on Amazon for £16.00. Full RRP are 30 odd quid. Only just fitted them so will have to see how good the longevity is.
