it will only become an issue if you have a strict MOT guy. the rozzers have never given any grief over mine:D

BTW ours does not have such words stamped on it:D

Photos!

Just realised it was my other half's Christmas present, I asked to check the receipt to see the reference:

"WUN-8166215 - Folding Headlight Grill R1200GS(to'07)/Adventure(to'07)"
"£55.65 - VAT: £9.33 - Carriage and Handling: £6.52"
"Total: £71.50"

And it DOESN'T fit !!!

:mad::mad::mad:

Hi Glyno,

Do you have to unscrew everything to clean the main headlight lens?

No not really, it shouldnt get that dirty that you have to bother too much. I can fit a cloth in between if necessary and if you want to take the face off there is just one bolt either side. :thumb

bought the bmw headlight protector yesterday and was a bit worried when i looked at the fitting instructions. anyway, just been and fitted it, what a doddle. really easy to fit and looks good, i'm happy

can you tell me the cost of the BMW item

that was from williams in manchester, good service, ordered friday and collected saturday

I bought the stick on type as I don't like the cattle grid looks of the wire mesh ones. As it goes almost right on the lense, there is no light reflected back like others and , IMO, it's not that noticable. If someone wants to steal it, well they must need it more than me, but it's been on for two years now with no problems. It's pretty cheap too compared to the rest. It came with white velcro jobbies, but I had some black velcro lying about and used them instead.

I like these as well for the reasons given above.

Stick mine on with the small silicon pads you can buy cheaply off ebay......almost impossible to see and just replace them when it time to clean the glass lens, usually about once a year.

Mike
