Out in the Lakes the other day, bit chilly, put the electric fire on on one bar (heated grips). So far so good, put it on two bars, and the throttle twistgrip stiffened up so much it stopped returning.:nenau
Anyone else had this (it's an 04 GS12)? It's just been serviced so I would think it's had any upgrades/recalls done.
Potentially lethal if you forget.

I don't think I've ever ridden a Beemer that it doesn't happen on.

You may find it's just expanding against the switch housing, my 1st 1150 did that too.

Either a bit of white grease or try easing it away from the switch with a dull blade of some sort....:thumb

Did that on mine, I loosened the switch housing a little and gently moved it away from the throttle twist grip by a minute amount: sorted.

I think I might have moved things around the handlebars a bit by dragging the bike around my garage pulling on the rubber grips: the heated grip moves a little then expands and starts binding when it heats up.

Thanks folks. :thumb
I'd throw a hissy fit if I couldn't use the electric fire,:thedummy even if only to tease the missus that my hands are toasty warm! :D

Blimey I thought I was going daft;) This happens on my `07 gs12
Worse when heated grip is on fully..:nenau
But come on heated grips being used it`s nearly June! Even had the ice warning come on while coming back from work on wedensday morning!!!
