Heated Grips Gripe

My 04 GSA has only 25,000 km on it and my left hand grip has given up . I've checked the fuses [ok] and was wondering if this is a common failure with such low K's and if there might be a simple fix . Great Board , cheers from down under.

Normal for the left hand side to fail first.

usually nothing to do with mileage - People pull their bikes onto the centre stand using all their strength on the left grip,which causes the heating element to break.

Use the rear subframe, and press your weight on the stand, just hold the bar lightly to guide the bike.
